Biophysical society of Serbia is a non-government, non-profit association, established for an indefinite time period with the goal of achieving the objectives in the field of scientific and educational work in the field of fundamental and applied biophysics.
The objectives of the society are: • Developing, assisting and coordinating scientific work at basic and applied research in biophysics. • Recognition of current studies in basic and applied research in biophysics carried out in Serbia. • Popularization of biophysics in academic circles and in the media. • Public education in the field of biophysics. • Creating a strategy for future projects and seeking funding opportunities for biophysical research at the Serbian and international level. In order to carry out the objectives the Society will: • Organize seminars, lectures and conferences in the field of basic and applied research in biophysics, solely or along with other organizations. • Establish cooperation with similar groups in Serbia and with international organizations and societies (IUPAB and others). • Establish a regular collaboration with Serbian universities and faculties, with the aim of improving educational and scientific work in biophysics. • Publish textbooks and other publications in the field of basic and applied research in biophysics. • Establish connection with Serbian scientists engaged in basic and applied research in biophysics in foreign Universities and laboratories, and encourages their active involvement in the Society. • Stimulate research by awarding best scientific work, master's thesis and doctorate dissertation in the field of basic and applied biophysics.
